Kim Reddig, M.S. CCC-SLP

President

Kim Reddig completed her B.S. degree in Speech pathology with a minor in developmental disabilities in 2002. She completed her M.S. in Speech Pathology in 2004. She works as a school based speech language pathologist. Kim has been working in Washoe County School District for 15 years. She is level 1 trained in Social Thinking since 2011. She is a 2017 NV Lend graduate. Kim is a member of ASHA as well as NSHA. She is excited to be an advocate for the profession of speech pathology in Nevada. Kim is a native Nevadan. She lives in Sparks with her husband and two children.

Melissa Fleischmann, M.S. CCC-SLP

Co-Vice-President

Melissa Fleischmann is a Native Northern Nevadan. She received her Bachelor and Master of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2004 and 2006. Melissa currently works full time for Washoe County School District and PRN at Renown Rehabilitation Hospital. She has worked in a variety of settings and is passionate about the multitude of methods that SLPs help and change the lives of individuals across the lifespan. When not working, Melissa enjoys making memories with her two daughters and Welsh Terrier.

Mindy Johnson, M.S. CCC-SLP

Co-Vice-President

Mindy Johnson is currently a school-based speech-language pathologist for Clark County School District in Las Vegas, NV.  This is her 18th year with the school district. Originally from Needles, CA,  she received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego, in Mammalian Physiology and Neuroscience.  Mindy received her Masters of Science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  Most recently, she completed her Master’s of Education in Program Administration, from Sierra Nevada College. In addition to her work for the school district, Mindy is on the Secondary Schools Committee, she has worked for a Child Find assessment team for the last 12 years, and she has worked as a contractor for Allowed Voice Therapy, working with Nevada Early Intervention to provide in-home services for the birth-to-three population.    Mindy lives in Las Vegas with her husband and two children.  She is interested in cognition and language development in children.  

Katey Bender, M.S. CCC-SLP

Secretary

Katey received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in the area of Speech Pathology.  Since 2004, Katey has practiced as a school-based Speech Pathologist in Washoe County School District.   The last 16 years have offered a variety experience within the school setting, including participating as a member of the Child Find Evaluation team, serving as a Co-Department Lead for 100+ school-based SLPs, as well as a mentor for over 30 newly hired school-based SLPs in their Clinical Fellowship Year.  Katey remains a member of ASHA and is excited to become a member of the serving NSHA Board in 2020.  

 

Kelli-Ann Hall, M.S. CCC-SLP

Kelli is a native of Las Vegas and graduate of University of Nevada, Reno, where she obtained both her Bachelor of Science (2012) and Master of Science (2014) degrees in Speech Pathology & Audiology. She minored in Developmental Disabilities and Communications. Kelli is licensed in the State of Nevada and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Kelli is passionate about school-based speech-language therapy. She has worked for Clark County School District (CCSD) since 2014 where she has supervised undergraduate and graduate speech-language pathology students, served as co-chair for the Secondary SLP Committee, and participated in a district task-force committee for professional growth. Kelli has earned the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) three times.
